Ah, yes. “Multiple Endings.” We have dismissed this claim.

Okay SERIOUSLY you guys? There’s fucking 16 different endings and you’re complaining just because you were disappointed with the one you got? Bioware isn’t going to pull more endings out of their ass just because people were disappointed; people bitch about games all the time. “Demanding” a better ending will get new DLC at most, and you probably wont be happy with that either. Everyone dreams up their perfect ending when they get involved in an RPG like Mass Effect. People worked their asses off to give this game versatility and multiple options, and this must be such a slap in the face to see shit like this going around. I respect other opinions but when words like “DEMAND” are used, it’s just a joke to me. Send me hate all you want, but if you’re really disappointed in the ending just replay the damn games and get another one. I’m so sick of it.

No one will send any hate to you, not anyone who actually represents Retake Mass Effect. You are completely entitled to your opinion and we have no right to say otherwise.I do have a statement regarding your point on the 16 different endings however. There are technically 16 different endings, but they are so similar the differences are practically negligible. There are also only three options available towards these 16 ending path which all result in the same cut scene with different colors. You are still given the same conclusion (excluding a very small extra scene for “perfect” ending) with the same outcome. That hardly constitutes as “multiple endings.”We don’t know for certain whether Bioware will or won’t create a new ending, but it is possible they could listen to the majority outcry and comply. Broken Steel was created to continue Fallout 3 after the ending, this should be just as feasible as that.If you are sick of the movements activities I recommend using Tumblr savior. #RetakeMassEffect is the official tag we operate under.

(This is a really good one. I like it quite a lot.)

Collecting a consensus (hah) about information like this is very important if we want our campaign to be effective. Cast your vote!

Do you buy into the hallucination theory? Given the actual evidence, I feel it's actually quite plausible. What's your take?

I think it’s certainly a possibility, stranger things have happened for video game endings. However, since nothing’s official about the theory, I’m not going to commit to having a stance on whether or not I think it’s true.

I will say that I think it would be a very innovative and satisfying way to tie up the ending, as long as we got more epilogue/action afterwards.

I just want to say... THANK GOD for this blog. I finished ME3 today and I was completely, utterly and totally DEVASTATED. I just couldn't believe it. I even got on You Tube and explored the other options and they all sucked. It didn't even make sense to me, and just left me heart broken and confused. I will be backing this campaign 100%.... In the mean time, I will be hoping for some fanfic to give the closure I need, I guess. Kudos & cyber support to you!
Thanks for addressing my question. While I don't agree with your (and others') take on the endings, it's nice to get a level headed response. I think what has upset people on the other side who liked the endings is that there's this mentality among the less polite bunch to accuse those who did like the endings of being stupid and/or not being a "true fan", which is incredibly insulting to say the least. Anyways, thanks for addressing my question. I'll have a rebuttal in the future. :)

You are most certainly welcome. I agree completely. A calm and mature debate is much more reasonable and less headache-inducing.

Anyone who is behaving like that towards fans for the current endings is not representing Retake Mass Effect accurately at all. We expect participants to be nothing less than courteous and mature in all their interactions over the ending DLC debate. We are all fans of Mass Effect and being for, or against, ending DLC has nothing to do with being a “true-fan”. I’m terribly sorry if anyone claiming to be a part of Retake Mass Effect behaved in such a way towards you, that is simply unacceptable.

I am looking forward to your response. c:

I'm glad to see that i'm not the only one who was disappointed with ME3's choice of endings. I was so excited when I bought my copy, but afterwards I felt like i'd just wasted three days of my life. Also I felt the cut-scene after the credits was horrifically cliché, making Shepard into some kind of messiah. Hopefully Bioware will see the error of their ways and correct their mistake.
You're doing an amazing job. I am so glad that someone has taken the time and effort to do this. I am a writer with university training and the ending outraged me as both a professional and a player. I am fully behind you, all the way. Bioware, as a company with a reputation for delivering amazing stories and nurturing its fans, cannot ignore us. Not without losing us.
I feel the need to thank you as well. I was devastated after finishing Mass Effect 3, but fans like you and all the others who have joined the fight have done so much to get my spirits up. Thank you so much for taking the time to write great, polite responses whenever opposition comes around. I hope we can show BioWare why we're so upset, and make them listen to us. We deserve closure.
