side-by-side comparison of the “16 unique endings” promised by Bioware

Hi, not sure if the movement has seen this clip, but it compares all the unique endings of ME3

For Those Interested in the Retake Movement’s Efforts on the Bioware Forums:

This topic has been a boon for me, and for others, in that several well-spoken people have taken great efforts to help the discontent masses understand the inner workings of Bioware’s PR moves. They also continue to hold the line and offer ideas as to how we can continue to do so through civil protest and intellectual discourse and debate.

If you have time to spare, at least take a look at the first posting (which, I warn you all, has grown larger and larger within a span of days) and see for yourself what has been going on!

Hold the Line, my friends! The Movement continues unabated!

Yes!Great work guys! Bioware has responded to our outcry and has officially declared that more endings will be given to fans! Read the article and go perfect your Shepard play-through, because there’s more coming!

I found something.

It is the director of ME3 speaking out about the people and their reactions to the endings:

‘It’s in the realm of possibility’ let’s hope that they do something.

Supporting the Cause

Good evening. I have been following the Retake Mass Effect movement for a few days now, even before I finished the game. The claims you and so many others made with regard to the game’s ending registered vividly with me to the point that I wished to finish the game simply to see if they were true. Sure enough, the unrest and disgust among players remains significantly valid as both fans and as readers - since all players of the Mass Effect franchise are investing in a story as much as the gameplay.

The ending as a whole unnerved and disappointed me. From the time Shepard was ‘hit’ by the Reaper laser to the final cinematic of the ‘perfect’ ending with the Stargazer and Child. I will honestly admit that the scene between Shepard, Anderson, and the Illusive Man was a genius stroke, but that’s the only thing I would leave unaltered. Otherwise… I’m forced to believe the current theory that Shepard was the target of some heavy indoctrination.

Everything else - the personification of the Citadel, the mass relays being destroyed, the unexplained ‘flight’ of the Normandy, how your party members ended up on board when they were supposed to be with you the whole time, the unexplainable wormhole and crash landing, and Shepard drawing breath in a place that shouldn’t even have oxygen… Nothing makes sense if taken at face value.

So that leaves only a few other possibilities: Shepard actually experienced that very scene, destroying the Reapers and saving countless worlds only to have them shatter with the mass relay explosions (in which case he’d be dead anyway, wouldn’t he? So why is he breathing at the end?), he was the target for indoctrination and either became so twice over or broke free and woke up under london rubble… or Bioware intentionally made one of the worst endings in modern video game history. I’m disinclined to believe the latter option.

I’m hoping beyond hope Bioware has a plan for this. If not, then there will be few buyers for Dragon Age III when it is finally released - especially if they make a post-ending DLC rather than a patch. If not… well, now is their chance to make things right. You can count my voice in amongst the rest. Thank you for your eloquence, your patience, and your dedication as a Mass Effect fan, and here’s hoping that this will yield something better for all concerned.

Great article, addresses every issue with the ending
It’s not anything from Bioware.

It’s from BSN, someone had a good idea for another ending. It’s already got a bit of recognition from IGN. Don’t know if it’s worth looking into, but I’ll leave you the link:

Honestly, I think this would be a fair ending to the game for those who want it. A lot of the people seem to like the idea too.

Figure I would bring this to you attention.

I was bummed when I found about the terrible ending to what had been an incredible series. So I vented my frustration by making images like this one.
